The IRS just gave you an opportunity to boast your retirement savings. This is the first increase in the IRA contribution since 2008. For 2013, the IRA contribution limit is $5,500, up from the current $5,000 limit. For individuals age 50 and older, the catch-up contribution remains unchanged at $1,000 or a maximum contribution of $6,500.
